N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On August 6th, the Stutsman County Commissioners held their monthly meeting at the courthouse. Several things were discussed.

Mickey Nenow, County Highway Superintendent, came before the commissioners to get some permits and bids approved. A permit to install Stutsman Rural Water District Water Lines was approved as well as an approval for Montana Dakota Utilities.

Later, Fritz Fremgen, the State’s Attorney, came before the commissioners to address some issues. Throwing out old cases from 10 to 12 years back and not having them to reference in future cases was one of them.

Fritz stated that there was a way that they could fix that, but it would consist of moving towards digital storage.

Another issue Fritz brought to the commissioners was weird police cases that are coming to Jamestown as a result of oil workers.

Later, Jerry Bergquist, Emergency Manager/911 Coordinator, brought up the repair estimates for the radio tower building. The building has had problems in the past from winter ice damage and the commissioners as well as Jerry will be looking into ways to solve this issue so it doesn’t occur again.
