CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) This fall students and staff members will see a new face, Activities Director Marty Bratrud. He served as an Athletic Coordinator for a school in Texas and most recently served as the Superintendent for the Flasher Public School District. Bratrud will be paid an annual salary of ,000.
Meanwhile, Junior High School Principal Dan Larson, the former Activities Director will drop that title and will add the 9th grade to his duties which will include the 7th, 8th & 9th grades.
Valley City Schools Superintendent Dean Koppelman talked about why Larson’s annual salary of $92,000 should remain the same. Koppelman also went on to explain the thought process of splitting the Activities Director and Junior High School principal position.
Another change Koppelman said was the duties of Senior High School principal Kristi Brandt. He said even though she no longer has the 9th grade she’ll be taking on additional duties in the future, to be announced at a later date. Her annual salary will remain unchanged at $97,188.
