(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure Post 19 American Legion baseball team saw their 2013 season come to a close on Saturday afternoon after losing to Cando 6-3 in loser-out play of the State Class B Tournament in Beulah.

LaMoure’s start was somewhat similar to Friday, as they scored the first two runs of the game in the first inning off of two hits. Post 19 added another run in the third with an two-out RBI single by Beau Diegal.

However, that was all the runs LaMoure would be able to muster, and Cando started their offense in the third with a three-run home run by Brooks Larson to tie the game. Cando added another three runs on five hits in the fifth to seal the deal.

Jake Hagler was the winning pitcher for Cando; going seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits, while striking out nine. Brady Theilges took the loss allowing six runs on ten hits and striking out two.
