N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Preliminary prices received by farmers for spring wheat for July 2013 averaged $7.45 per bushel, a decrease of 16 cents from the June price according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. Durum wheat, at $7.95 per bushel, decreased 31 cents from the previous month. Winter wheat averaged $6.60 per bushel, a decrease of 26 cents from June.

The preliminary July feed barley price, at $4.70 per bushel, was down 18 cents from last month. The malting barley price, at $6.10, was down 54 cents from last month.

The preliminary July oat price, at $3.65 per bushel, increased 13 cents from last month.

The preliminary July corn price, at $6.30 per bushel, decreased 17 cents from the previous month.

The preliminary July soybean price, at $14.40 per bushel, was unchanged from last month.

The preliminary July all dry edible bean price, at $39.00 per cwt, increased $3.10 from last month.

The pinto price for June averaged $37.60 per cwt while the navy price averaged $33.80 per cwt.

The preliminary July all sunflowers price, at $25.70 per cwt, was up $1.60 from last month.

The preliminary July flax-seed price, at $15.10 per bushel, was down 10 cents from last month.

The preliminary July canola price averaged $26.50 per cwt, a decrease of 90 cents from June.

The July alfalfa hay price, at $117.00 per ton, was down $12.00 from last month. The other hay price, at $75.00 per ton, was down $9.00 from last month.

The preliminary July prices for fresh and processing potatoes were withheld to avoid disclosing data for individual operations.
