(NewsDakota.com) The Enderlin Post 221 American Legion Baseball team knew they had a tough test to start their run in the 2013 State Class B American Legion Baseball Tournament.
Post 221 was able to come back from four runs down early to Grafton Post 41 and take a 5-4 lead at one point, but in the end, it was Post 41 who went on to win the contest 10-6.
Post 41 scored the first four runs, including a solo home run by Garek Droog. However, Enderlin rallied with three runs off of two hits in the third and another two runs on four hits in the fifth to take the lead. Casey Langland had a double, single and two runs scored during the fourth and fifth innings.
Grafton ended up scoring six runs in the fifth and sixth innings to seal the deal. Post 41 managed 13 hits off of Thomas Lindgren and Spencer Gillund.
Christian Lunde had an impressive day at the play for Grafton with two doubles, a triple and three runs scored.
Grafton moves on and will play the winner of LaMoure/Beulah at 7:30 Thursday evening. Enderlin will look to keep their season alive against the loser of that contest at noon Thursday. Pregame coverage starts at 11:45 a.m. on Q101.1FM and NewsDakota.com
