(NewsDakota.com) Last year, the LaMoure Post 19 American Legion Baseball team lost to Lisbon Post 7 in the semi-finals and then rallied to defeat Wishek Post 87 and Lisbon twice on the final day to win the tournament.

This year the formula to winning the title was the same as Post 19 won both games on Saturday against Post 7 to earn their eighth Section 2 Championship in the last 10 years. LaMoure won by scores of 11-4 and 10-3 and have earned a trip to Beulah next week. 

In game one, LaMoure scored the first four runs of the game and never looked back. Kenny Hodem and Jared Meiklejohn each had three hits in the contest, and Beau Diegal earned the win. Game two saw LaMoure trail early on 1-0, before scoring the next 11 runs to cruise to the victory. Brady Theilges earned the win for Post 19.
