CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Just two teams remain after day three of the Class B American Legion Section One Tournament.
The day started with Enderlin taking on Kindred in winners bracket match up. The host team took total control of the game in the fourth inning when both Daniel Lindgren and Thomas Lindgren hit home runs, giving Enderlin a 9-3 lead. The game went lopsided after that as the bats stayed hot for Enderlin. When the seventh came to an end, it was Enderlin who earned a trip to the Championship with a 16-4 win.
The night cap ended with Kindred defeating Lidgerwood 7-4, which means Enderlin will face Kindred again at 4pm on Saturday July 27th, at 4pm. That game will be broadcast on Q101FM.
The second game of the day featured Valley City against Lidgerwood in a rematch of the tournament’s opening game. On that day, Valley City defeated Lidgerwood by a score of 3-0. It was all Lidgerwood on Day three, however, as Luis Vasquez did the job on the mound and at the plate for Lidgerwood. The righty allowed just one hit, and hit two home runs in the game. Valley City, who had played one more game then their opponent, appeared fatigued as they feel in the contest to in five innings by a score of 17-0.
