N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Council held a special meeting to discuss second readings of certain city ordinances. Jeff Fuchs says it was updating the City code.

Among the approved ordinances was City codes were:

– Possession, use, carrying, transfer, transportation, storage, or display of firearms during declared emergencies.

– General penalties to increase the maximum fine for a class B misdemeanor to an amount not to exceed $1,500.

– Time and place of sale of fireworks to allow additional dates for fireworks to be sold and used on December 26th through January 1st.

There were roughly 15 items approved for second readings. The meeting to pass the ordinance readings was on July 26th at 9 AM.
