N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Medina Sportsmen’s Club will be hosting their club picnic Sunday, July 28th at the Medina City Park.
There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, and refreshments. The cost will be $7 for Adults and Kids 12 and under will be $3.
The meal will begin at 11:30 with the money raffle to follow at 12:00. There are 11 $100 cash prizes that are to be won in the raffle. With kids’ games and a horseshoe tournament as well as other door prizes, Jack Wagner, Secretary for the club, says they are raising money for their events.
“We hold the picnic as a yearly fundraiser to so we can hold our fishing derby’s. We also put in the dock at Bader Lake and that costs roughly $1500. The money will also go towards Hunter safety education in Medina which is held in February.”
The Medina Sportsman’s Club has over 50 members and meets on the last Thursday of the month. The club was created in the 1930’s. Their job is to place docks on Bader Lake and Crystal Springs. Every June, they host an annual fishing day for kids. They also provide food bails for wild life and feed the pheasants.
