(NewsDakota.com) After Braxton Hewitt of Carrington threw a no-hitter against Dakota Prairie on Monday of this week, The Knights came back strong on Tuesday with a 16-1 win over Sheyenne/New Rockford and a win against Carrington 16-2 on Tuesday, July 16th. Yesterday, Dakota Prairie and Carrington would meet for a third time in the tournament and the Knights won 7-3.
Regardless of yesterdays game, both Dakota Prairie and Carrington will represent District 2 in the State Babe Ruth Baseball Tourney in Carrington this year, Carrington automatically qualifies because they are the host city. The Tourney starts Friday, August 2nd and runs through Tuesday, August 6th. Dakota Prairie will play the first game on Friday, August 2nd at 9:30a, Carrington will play the last game at 5:30pm. All the games can be heard on 103.1 FM The Raven, AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com.
