CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A rain storm that struck Valley City June 20 caused a lot of damage to residential and commercial property.

City Building Inspector Dave Andersen told Valley City residents to be careful. Earlier this month, he said events like this bring out unscrupulous and unlicensed contractors.

City Commissioner Madaline Luke said one contractor was allegedly using her name as a reference. She said she didn’t endorse any contractor.

Valley City residents who have questions about contractors should call Dave Andersen at city hall.
