Myrtle Geiszler, 85, of Jamestown, ND, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

     Myrtle M. Otto was born on February 7, 1928, the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Remboldt) Geiszler. She was raised in the Gackle area attended Gackle School. Myrtle married Albert B. Geiszler on February 23, 1947 in Gackle. She worked at the Gackle Locker plant and Gackle Café before the family moved to Bandon, OR in 1967. Myrtle worked as a nurse’s aide in local hospitals and nursing homes. She was an active member of Gloria Dei Church and the Gackle Legion Auxiliary.

     Myrtle will be remembered for her great sense of humor and baking, which she shared with her friends and family often.

     Myrtle is survived by three children, Russ (Gwen) Geiszler, Jamestown, Sandra (Richard) Dale, Jamestown, and Kim (Jon) Forrest, Pagosa Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, Amy (Don) Walz, Justin (Twilla) Wilson, Aaron Geiszler, Nicole (Billy) Cotts, J.B. (April) Forrest, Caleb (Alyssa) Forrest, and Caitlin Forrest; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Oliver (Phyllis) Otto, Gackle; and sister, LaRaine (Howard) Dockter, Gackle.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three infant brothers.

     Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

     Interment – Gackle Cemetery, Gackle.
