N.D. – The 3rd Annual Chef’s Challenge is slated to take place at the Stutsman County Fair July 11th.

Lisa Hicks, a member of the Chamber of Commerce Ag Energy Committee, said these events take place in order to support their mission.

“And our mission is to bring awareness to the community about positive effects Agriculture brings to our economy. So, we are very involved in the fair.”

The first of these events is the Chef’s Challenge.

“It’s a lot like Top Chef.” she said.

Contestants bring their own grills and preparation equipment and are provided with a number of ingrediants to work with, but some of those ingredients are a little wacky.

Contestants will be judged on taste, presentation and creativity. The three judges this year will be a Chamber of Commerce member, a City Council member, and the Mayor of Jamestown.

To sign up, contact Lisa Hicks at 701-252-4830 or email her at lisa@jamestownchamber.com. The event will kick off at 5:00 P.M. at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds in the Gazebo area and will be MC’d by Big Dog’s JD.
