CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City State University said goodbye to a longtime coach Monday night with a send-off party for Jill DeVries.

She is resigning her position as head women’s basketball coach this summer after 14 years of leading the Vikings. A search for DeVries’ replacement is currently underway.

DeVries took the team to three national NAIA tournament appearances during her tenure at Valley City State University.

Dozens of people gathered at City Lights Supper Club Monday to say their goodbyes and wish her good luck in the future.
