(NewsDakota.com) About 5 to 8 inches of rain fell quickly in parts of Sargent and Ransom Counties early Thursday morning which resulted in flooded roadways.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation and the Highway Patrol have closed state Highway 13 approximately eight miles west of Gwinner and state Highway 32 from Gwinner to Lisbon due to heavy rains causing flooding. As of Thursday morning, there was still water on Highway 13 in Gwinner and Highway 18 in Wyndmere, with speeds being reduced.

Portions of the Bobcat plant in Gwinner were closed on Thursday due to the flooding.

In parts of Dickey and LaMoure counties, anywhere from 2-5 inches of rain fell overnight. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the area until 5 p.m. Thursday evening.
