(NewsDakota.com) Yesterday at Carrington City Park, New Rockford Post 30 and Carrington Post 25 played a double header in Legion baseball. Post 25 won both games 10-0 and 3-0. Carrington improves to 8-5 overall, the Blacksox drop to 4-4.
In the first game, Brady Smith for Carrington retired nine batters in a row in three innings and Post 25 won by the 10 run rule. Post 25 batted around in the second and third innings, they scored five runs in the second inning on no hits, as Seth Gilles for Post 30 walked seven batters. Marcus Hewitt had a two RBI double in the bottom of the third inning to win it for Carrington.
In the second game, Brady Smith remained on the mound and picked up his second win of the day, Cobey Allmaras took the loss for the Blacksox. Taylor Skytland had two singles and a stolen base for Carrington. Post 25 had three hits total, Marcus Hewitt had a single as well. Allmaras, along with Seth Gillis and Chance LaBrie each had one hit for Post 30.
Next up for Carrington will be today at 5pm against section 2 team Lisbon at Carrington City Park.

Section 5 Sheyenne/New Rockford Blacksox Post 30 will be in action tomorrow night as well in New Rockford against Garrison at 6pm.
