CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Implementation of the Automatic Metering Infrastructure system by Cooper Power will start July 8 in Valley City according to City Administrator David Schelkoph.

The Valley City commission unanimously approved a contract for Cooper Power to install the AMI system at a cost of nearly $1.3 million.

Once installed, meter readings will be captured on the AMI system for city residential and commercial customers.
