(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure Post 19 American Legion baseball team kept up their solid pace of winning against Section 2 opponents with a 13-7 victory over Kidder County Post 231 on Tuesday night.

LaMoure and KC traded barbs in the first inning, with each team scoring three runs each. Post 19 then went on to score the next 10 runs, and it appeared the game would be decided by a run rule after five innings, however a run scored in the home half of the inning pushed the game to a sixth inning.

In the sixth, Post 231 scored another three runs, but due to darkness, the game was called, and LaMoure earned their fourth victory in Section 2 play.

Parker Stemen had a rocky outing on the mound for Post 19, but earned the win, going all six innings, while allowing 5 earned runs on seven hits and striking out five. Tanner Kessler was the losing pitcher for Post 231, who fall to 1-1 in sectional play, going just an inning and a third, coughing up seven earned runs on eight hits.

Brady Thielges lead the way offensively for Post 19 with two doubles, a triple, and three runs scored.

LaMoure has the day off on Wednesday before hosting Ellendale on Thursday.
