(NewsDakota.com)- Twenty-nine runners crossed the plate for the Post 14 baseball team during their doubleheader sweep of the Fargo Metro Expos. Both games were only five-inning affairs because of the 10-run rule, 14-4 in the first game and 15-4 in the second.

Head Coach Shane Schoeneberg mixed up his pitchers quite a bit to get ready for the Red Haddox Invitational in Bloomington, MN this weekend. Riley Schaffer and Joey Gebhardt each started a game, but neither went more than an inning.

Landon Weiser and Peyton Walker picked up the victories in relief.

With the first game tied at one a piece after the first inning, Jamestown exploded for back-to-back six run innings to take control. In the second game, they had a 10-run inning which accounted for most of the damage.

Post 14 is now 5-1 on the season. They will play some stiff competition this weekend with games against Owatonna, Bloomington Gold, Anoka, and Bloomington Blue.

Jamestown returns home on Tuesday to play Dickinson. Next radio game is a week from Friday vs. Mandan.
