(NewsDakota.com) One of the great things about the game of baseball is how there is no time limit. You’re not out of the game until you’ve racked out too many outs.

The LaMoure Post 19 American Legion baseball team looked like they were out early in their contest against Lisbon Post 7 on Monday after trailing 5-0 going into the bottom of the fourth inning when Post 19 rallied with a five spot. Post 7 scored a run in the top of the fifth but Post 19 scored another three runs in the home half of the fifth and never looked back knocking off Post 7 11-8.

Jared Meiklejohn earned his second win in Section 2 play in as many outings for Post 19; throwing five innings, allowing four earned runs, while striking out seven. Wyatt Aberle was the losing pitcher for Lisbon with eight runs on 10 hits in five innings. Beau Diegal registered a save. Diegal along with Anthony Olson each scored three runs, while Derek Lyons had a double a single and two runs scored in the loss.

In the non-section game, Post 19’s Devin Piehl went the distance on the hill surrendering three earned runs on nine hits as LaMoure defeated Lisbon 11-4. Every player in the lineup for Post 19 scored a run.

Post 19 is now 3-0 in Section 2, and Post 7 is 1-1. Post 19 heads to Steele on Tuesday for another section 2 contest. Coverage starts at 7:15 on Tuesday night on Q101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com, with first pitch at 7:30
