Our beloved mother died on June 8th after a short fight against cancer. Lilly was born in Carpenter, ND to Ingvar and Mathilde Tvestad of Norwegian decent. After graduating from the Beauticians Academy in Fargo N.D. She married Maurice Kuhry of Oriska, together they raised six children.

     She was an active church member in ladies aid and home makers club. Lilly was an avid gardener, raising vegetables and preserving most of the family food she liked to share with family and friends.

     One of the highlights of her life was a trip to Norway in 2005 where she met many extended family, 1st and 2nd cousins.

     Lilly is survived by her 6 children Sharon (Knutson) Portland, OR. Doug (Oriska, N.D.) Michael (Valley City, N.D.) George (Williston N.D.) Deborah (Yttredahl)(Jamestown N.D.) and Darel (Alice N.D.) in addition to her 6 grand children and 5 great grand children Kris, Steve, Jason, Ryan, Stacie, and Craig, Jacob, Eric, Megan Lilly, Brandon, and Lilly Marie.

     A Rosary will be recited at 7 PM Tuesday at Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Oriska, N.D. @ 11AM Wednesday June 12th. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
