FARGO (NewsDakota.com) – Enderlin/Maple Valley came up one win short of defending its Class B Fastpitch State Championship.

Central Cass defeated Enderlin/Maple Valley 12-4 in Saturday’s championship softball game at West Fargo’s Elmwood Park. Last year, Enderlin/Maple Valley beat Central Cass in the inaugural Class B title game.

This year, it was anybody’s game after EMV scored two runs in the top of the fourth to tie it at 3-3. But Central Cass responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning and then put the game away with five runs in the sixth.

Central Cass finished with 14 hits while the Falcons managed just five hits against Central Cass pitcher Morgan Titus.

Kindred-Richland defeated May-Port-CG 10-1 for third place.
