(NewsDakota.com)- Jamestown had scored seven unanswered runs to take a 10-6 lead heading into the 7th inning before the Magi rallied for five runs and won on Hunter Oothoudt’s walk-off single.

Minot jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings. The Jays responded with a three-run third inning. Tyler Ukestad singled after a pair of walks to fill the bases and Jake Stilwell drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly to center field. 

Joey Gebhardt drove in and run and then Marc Wagner was walked with the bases filled.

With the score tied 6-6 in the fifth inning, Shaun Hogan dumped a basehit behind first to score a pair and give the Jays a 8-6 lead. Jamestown added one more run in the fifth to make a four-run inning.

In the seventh inning holding a 10-6 lead things began to unravel for the Jays. After Ukestad put the first two batters aboard he was lifted for Stilwell. An error on Hogan, a hit and three walks tied the the game at 10-10.

Othoudt drove a long fly ball over the head of Ben Walz in left to end the game.

Caleb Fornshell got the win in relief for Minot giving up just one run in two innings while striking out four. Stilwell took the loss in just a third of an inning.

Jamestown ends the season at 14-8 while going 0-3 at the state tournament.

The first Post 14 legion game is Wednesday against Groton, SD. Game 1 of that doubleheader will be broadcast on AM 1400 KQDJ at 5:30pm.
