CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liner golf team wrapped up its season Wednesday at the EDC Regional Meet.

Valley City shot a 383 total at Dakota Winds Golf Course and finished in 10th place. The top six teams moved on to next week’s state tournament. Jared Lentz fired an 84, and Dustin Miller carded an 86 to lead Valley City.

“Jared Lentz and Dustin Miller posted nice scores of 84 and 86 respectively to lead the way,” said Valley City coach Buff Murray. “With no seniors on the roster, we will have 7 players returning with varsity experience for next season.”

Lentz qualified for the State Tournament earlier this year, and will represent the Hi-Liners as an individual on June 4-5 at Dakota Winds Golf Course.

Fargo Davies won the EDC Regional Meet with a 315. Ty Kennedy of Grand Forks Central walked away with medalist honors after firing a 70 over 18 holes.
