CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City Mayor Bob Werkhoven says the community is thankful to Bald Hill Dam Resource Manager Rich Schueneman and the U-S Army Corps of Engineers with their work managing outflows from the dam this spring.

Schueneman says cooler temperatures and drier soil conditions also played an important role in the spring snow melt along the Sheyenne River.
