N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has a new tracking system to help truckers travel faster and safer. The .5 million project allows users to automatically calculate oversized vehicle routes and fees online.

The patrol last year issued more than 348,000 permits for vehicle and load movements, an increase of 32 percent since 2011. Officials say the new system will provide fast and efficient service for permits.

Training for the procedure is scheduled June 3rd through 7th at various locations throughout the state. The list of sites can be found at www DOT ND DOT gov SLASH NDHP.
