N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A Freightliner traveling east on Interstate 94 was approaching a bridge over the Swan Creek east of Casselton when a tire on the front axle blew out causing the vehicle to lose control.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Troy Hischer says the semi veered to the right crashing through the guardrail in the south ditch.  The vehicle then vaulted into the Swan Creek and became embedded into the east bank.

Hischer says the driver 60-year-old Donald Jahner of Enderlin was pinned in the cab. Jahner had to be extracted by the Casselton Fire Department and was transported to a Fargo Hospital for treated of his injuries.
