(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School track and field team has qualified 10 members for the State Class B Meet set for Friday May 24 and Saturday May 25 at the Bismarck Community Bowl at Bismarck State College.

In individual events, Nicole Warren will compete in the 800 meter run and the javelin. Keaton Peterson has also qualified for the javelin, while Michael Kelly will compete in the discus, and Blake Hollingsworth will run in the 100 and 400 meter dash.

Oakes also qualified three relay teams for state. The boys and girls mile teams, as well as the girls two-mile team. Peterson, Hollingworth, Austin Brandriet and Geoffrey Rath represent the boys team. The girls mile team consists of Warren, Rebecca Zetocha, Shelby Roney and Shelby Gelinkse. The girls two-mile team features Roney, Gelinske, Warren and Ashley Petersen.
