Rhonda Peterson-Wahl, 59, Minot, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in a Minot hospital.
Rhonda was born July 17, 1953 in Valley City, to Paul and Mildred (Bakke) Peterson. She was raised and educated in Fingal, attending both schools in Fingal as well as the State School in Grafton.
Rhonda moved to Grand Forks and was employed as a dishwasher at the Vocational Workshop and other places in and around Grand Forks. On July 17, 1977 she married Darrell Wahl. They continued to make their home in Grand Forks until relocating to Minot in 1988. Rhonda began employment at Happy Joes as well as The Dugout Restaurant as a dishwasher. She was currently working at the Badlands Grill House & Saloon.
She was a member of Second Story and volunteered at the Humane Society and also at Manor Care Health Services. Along with her love of animals she enjoyed stitchery, line dancing and craft projects. Rhonda had a very giving and caring heart. She will be greatly missed by all whose life had been touched by hers.
Rhonda was survived by her brothers, Vernon (Rosa) Peterson of Joplin, MO; Ervin D Peterson of Fargo, ND; Wesley (Judy) Peterson of Minneapolis, MN; Robert Peterson of Barrett, MN; and Darrell Peterson of Harrison, AR; and sister; Linda (Steve) Payne of Minneapolis, MN. Several nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel
?Interment: Graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Woodbine Cemetery in Valley City.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.?
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to Souris Valley Animal Shelter or Second Story.
