(NewsDakota.com) It’s never about how you start in sports, it’s how you finish; especially in the post-season.

The LaMoure-Litchville/Marion baseball team started out pretty poorly in their loser-out game versus Fairmount-Hankinson on Saturday by stranding 10 runners on base and Parker Stemen allowing two home runs to give F-H a 4-0 lead. Things changed in the sixth inning for the Loboes in a big way; as a dropped ball with two outs in the sixth eventually allowed LLM to come back to tie the game at four.

The contest went to extra innings, where F-H scored a run in the top of the eight, but the Loboes scored two in the bottom frame with the winning run coming from a single to left field by Drew Theilges to score Jared Meiklejohn to cap off the 6-5 comeback victory to keep the Loboe’s season alive.

Brady Theilges earned the win for the Loboes, Stemen was credited with a no decision. Jacob Zach took the loss for F-H, which sees their season end at 0-10 in Region I. The Loboes will play Enderlin/Maple Valley Monday at 4:30. LLM lost in their first regular season contest to the Falcons 6-5 in 11 innings on April 30, but defeated EMV in the opening round of the tournament on Friday in Casselton 9-2.
