N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A district judge in Wahpeton has decided that a Lidgerwood woman will not have to spend any time in jail for threatening a legislator.
Nicolette Knudson pleaded guilty to sending threatening emails and calling Bismarck Republican senator Margaret Sitte during the 2013 legislative session. Sitte was the main sponsor of anti-abortion bills at the time that the threats were made.
Knutson was given a deferred sentence, put on probation for a year and ordered to pay $525 in court fees and fines.
