CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liner fastpitch softball team went 2-3 this weekend during a two-day road trip.

Valley City put together a 1-2 record during a Saturday tournament in Pipestone, Minn. Valley City then split a doubleheader with Watertown, S.D. on the drive back.

At the tournament, Valley City beat Murray County Central 16-0, but lost to Marshall 7-1 and Sioux Falls 8-7.

The Hi-Liners beat Watertown 4-3 and lost 10-8 during the doubleheader. Valley City is now 9-6 overall. They go on the road to Grand Forks Central on Tuesday.
