Robert C. Anderson Sr. passed away May 11, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer, with family at his side. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Wednesday May 15, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kathryn, ND with Rev. Brad Edin officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery at Valley City, ND at 1:30 PM Wednesday with full military honors.

     Bob was born May 9, 1938 and grew up on a farm at Fingal, ND. At age 18 he joined the Navy and served on the USS Hector. He was in both Hawaii and Alaska the years they became states. After the Navy Bob joined the labors union and worked in tunnel construction as a concrete specialist. After retirement Bob and Karen moved to Kathryn, ND. Bob was active in the community serving on the city council. He loved spending time with family, playing cards (sometimes getting caught cheating), and fishing. We love you and will see you again.

     Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years Karen, children Robert Jr., Christy, Buster (Cindy), Jeanie (Dennis), Brenda (Ed), Brian (Monica), 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and siblings John Sr., Hjalmer, and Karen Anderson. He was preceded in death by a brother Allen Sr.
