CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City High School Band awarded its two most prestigious awards at the “Jazzin’ Concert,” May 6th.

The John Phillip Sousa Award was presented to Adam Hart, a senior
percussionist with the band. Adam earned the award, which was voted on by
the band, for exemplifying the most positive attitude, musical abilities and
participation in the Valley City High School band program over the years.

The Semper Fidelis Award is awarded by the United States Marine Corps to the
band student who best exemplifies leadership and determination to help make
the VCHS Senior Band a premier band?..a proud band and a musically talented
band. This year the Semper Fidelis award was presented to senior percussionist Kamie Wagar.
