CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The American Cancer Society Relay For Life® of  Barnes County will officially get underway as event volunteers and participants will gather at The Viking Room for a kick-off rally today at 5:30pm to launch their fundraising efforts.

The rally will feature speakers from the community and will honor cancer survivors.  It will also be an opportunity for community members to learn about the “New Relay Look” that will be on held on Central Avenue in downtown Valley City Friday, June 21 from 6:00 pm. to Midnight.  

American Cancer Society Community Relationship Manager Mary Dahl said, the kick-off is a wonderful opportunity for people to learn more about Relay for Life and hear  about the wonderful activities planned for June 21 event in downtown Valley City.
