(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes City Council held its regular monthly meeting on Monday.
Phase four of construction has resumed, and restoration of areas affected last year will begin soon. There was a discussion regarding either renovating or constructing a new water tower. The Water Committee is scheduled to meet to discuss options before the next Council meeting.
The City was presented with the 2012 audit, and it was found the City did show a loss during the past year due to equipment purchases and finishing construction projects.
Improvements to the roof at the Armory are coming along, and further inspections will be conducted in the summer, and the fire district being formed is hoped to begin shortly, and will be finished by the end of the summer.
