(NewsDakota.com)- After a rough doubleheader against Minot, the Jays baseball team stormed back to sweep the Mandan Braves. They took the opener 5-4 before winning the second game 4-2.

Tyler Ukestad lead the charge in game one, going all seven innings on the hill while also collecting a pair of hits. The Jays trailed 2-0, but were able to take a 5-2 lead. They would have to hold on in the seventh as Mandan make a late run.

Landon Weiser was winning pitcher in game two. Jake Stilwell worked the seventh for the save and also had two hits.

The Jays improve their record to 6-2.

Jamestown will battle Dickinson on Thursday at Jack Brown Stadium. Williston comes to town Saturday at noon.
