(NewsDakota.com)  Brady Smith went the distance, struck-out five, no walks and gave up only one run as the Cards beat the Region Five Bearcats yesterday 9-1.  Taylor Skytland went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one stolen base.  Easton Paeper was 2-for-3 including a triple, two RBI and one stolen base.  The one, two and four hitters had seven of the nine hits for Carrington.  The Cards improve to 4-0, North Star suffers their first loss of the season and drops to 3-1. 

Marcus Hewitt had a RBI on a sacrifice bunt on a suicide squeeze play that scored Austin Hewitt from third.  Austin Hewitt went 2-for-3 with two hits including a double.
