Dorothea S. Grieger was born on October 31, 1914 near Erie, ND, the daughter of Richard and Selma Grieger. She attended rural school and did housework for neighbor families.

      She married Albert Lindemann in April of 1945. As a young couple, they made their home in Tower City, ND where they raised their family and farmed. After Albert’s death, she moved to Valley City, ND. She became a resident of the Sheyenne Care Center in 2001.

     She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery.

     Dorothea died at the Sheyenne Care Center on May 7, 2013. She is survived by her children, Judine Kamoni, Ronda (Mark) Reimers, and Larry (Peggy) Lindemann all of Valley City and Jerry (Deb) Lindemann of Henderson, NV. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Clarence and Loren Grieger; and a son-in-law, Ahmed Kamoni.

     A graveside service for Dorothea S. Lindemann, 98, Valley City, ND will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 at Hillside Cemetery, Valley City. Rev. Randy Schlecht will officiate.
