(NewsDakota.com) A traveling Smithsonian exhibit will be in Ellendale starting on Saturday and will be in town through June 16.

The exhibit entitled “Key Ingredients: America By Food.” is a history and educational lesson of the eating practices of Americans from all regions of the country, and how food has linked people together.  It features five different kiosks with pictures and artifacts along with information on each kiosk. Ellendale is one of 12 cities across the state to be hosting the exhibit in the upcoming months.  

The lobby of the Ellendale Opera House will host the exhibit, and a grand opening celebration will be held on Saturday afternoon May 4. Admission is free. Hours of operation will be 11-5 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends, as well as by appointment.
