(NewsDakota.com)- Not having played a spring event certainly hurt the Viking and Jimmie golf teams this weekend in Texas during the A.I.I. Tournament. The two local teams finished in the bottom two spots with the Jimmies in 7th and the Vikings in 8th.

Tommy Rockis lead the Jimmies with a three-round score of 229. Ben Sorenson paced the Vikings with 245. Four players in the tournament finished under par. Vance Edwards from British Columbia was the three-under winner.

Jamestown College’s team score was 949 and 75 shots off the winner Cal-State San Marcos who shot a 874. VCSU carded an even 1000 on the two-day event.
