CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Washington elementary principal Wayne Denault announced his retirement at the school board meeting April, 23. Superintendent Dean Koppelman said Denault had been a teacher and administrator for 44 years.

Wayne Denault said it’s been a pleasure to serve in the Valley City School District this past 14 years.

Koppelman said Denault will remain working as the Title One coordinator for one more year during the transition process. The position for a new Washington elementary principle will be posted soon.
