CITY, S.D. (AP) – Another blast of winter is kicking off the work week in South Dakota. The National Weather Service has posted a winter storm warning for the Black Hills, and a winter weather advisory for the rest of the southern two-thirds of the state.

Forecasters say up to a foot of snow could fall in the Black Hills, with lesser but still-significant amounts in areas to the east. Travel could become hazardous in some areas.

The weather impacted an annual motorcycle show in Aberdeen over the weekend. The American News reports that more than 1,000 people attended, but only a few came on motorcycles. Most decided to travel to the event in a vehicle.
