(NewsDakota.com)- Before all the events and travel for the weekend were snowed out the Jimmie track and field team was able to travel to Sioux City to compete in the Sioux City Relays.

The Jimmie men had a 1-2-3 finish in the Hammer throw with Garrett Tenney, Mike Findlay, and Michael Brosseau taking top honors. Grayson Leder finished sixth in the event.

Bradley Brooks capped a strong showing by the JC throws with a second-place finish in the discus. Findlay and Brosseau were ninth and 11th respectively in the shot put. 

Scott Roemmich finished third in the 110 hurdles with brother Trent taking the fifth spot.

Carrington native Hope Carr continued her great spring with a runner up finish in the 110 hurdles. Cross country All-American Aleona Reyes had a time of 11:41 in the steeplechase to grad third.

The Jimmies will try to compete on April 20th in Moorhead at the Cobber Invite.
