(NewsDakota.com)- The Jimmie men’s basketball team inked one of the state’s most prolific scorers over the past three seasons. Jacob Hagler of North Star signed a letter of intent to join the Jimmies.

Hagler is a three-time all-state first-team selection and lead the Bearcats to the Class B state title as a sophomore in 2011.

Hagler will be competing for time in the back-court behind Breshion Tucker and All-American Mark Hoge. Junior Taylor Newton and newcomer Brequan Tucker also figure to get a large amount of minutes.

Jamestown College has made back-to-back trips to the National Tournament but hasn’t won a game there since 2004. This past month they lost to the eventual champion Cardinal Stritch Wolves in the opening round.
