N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A judge set bail at 50-thousand dollars for a Brampton man charged in the hit-and-run death of a 28-year-old Reavis Dandridge of Oakes on Sunday while walking along a Sargent County road.

State’s Attorney Lyle Bopp said he’s charged 22-year-old Dakota Sutton with not helping Dandridge after he was struck. Bopp said it’s also possible that Dandridge has been hit by another vehicle before he was run over by the pickup driven by Sutton.

He said Dandridge and Sutton knew each other and had been together earlier. Dandridge has moved to North Dakota from the Twin Cities.

The case remains under investigation with the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
