(NewsDakota.com)- The Jimmie baseball team spent the weekend in Huron, SD playing a four-game set with Presentation College and they walked away unscathed.
Paul Roers went the distance to earn a 7-2 victory in the opening game. Roers yielded just two runs on two hits for his third win of the season. Blake Stewart was just as impressive in the nightcap, giving up just one hit as they Jimmies poured it on in the 9th-inning to win 10-0.
West Fargo freshman Andy Young hit a 3-run homer in the first and that was all Stewart needed.
On Sunday, the Jimmie offense started slow before putting up three crooked numbers in the final three innings to blowout the Saints 10-3. Spencer Flaten went 3-4 with an RBI double.
The final game was the closest of the weekend as Presentation held the Jimmies to just three runs on eight hits, but Adam Ranger was a little better. The JC starter went the distance allowing just two runs on three hits.
Jakob Ohmann drove in the tying and go-ahead runs in the 5th to win it for the Jimmies.
Jamestown is slated to play Dakota Wesleyan tomorrow in Mitchell, SD but due to weather those games appear in doubt at the moment. A decision is expected to be made around noon today.
If the Jimmies play tomorrow you can catch the games on 1400 KQDJ with first pitch slated for 1pm.
