N.D. (NewsDakota.com) It’s down to the last month in the bi-annual North Dakota legislative session and legislators from around the state are holding forums to educated and to get input from the public on key bill being worked on in the 2013 session.

A forum was held Friday inside the Jamestown City Hall featuring legislators from District 12 and 29. A number of topics were addressed including those 4 Abortion bills, Medicaid, K-12 Funding, Higher Education, Property Tax relief, Roads & Highways improvements and Oil Patch Tax breaks.

Carrington Rep.  Chet Pollert defended the legislatures actions concerning bills appropriating a significant increase in spending so far during the session.

Pollert and Montpelier Rep. Craig Headland addressed the status of a bill that was going to
spend money repairing side roads and short roads to tourist sites and
campgrounds.

In Jamestown a frontage road off I-94 that goes to the KOA campground was one of the roads listed on this bill to be repaired. Right now the road is so bad it’s unusable.

Forum was sponsored by the Jamestown Chamber Local & Regional Issues Committee.
