(NewsDakota.com) A Marion man who was a passenger in a single truck accident has died, and the driver, a Marion woman, is now facing a DUI charge after an early Saturday morning crash in LaMoure County.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 43 year old Angela Haakenson was driving westbound along LaMoure County Road 23 about a mile and a half southwest of Marion just after midnight Saturday, when she lost control of her truck on the gravel roadway, and rolled it in the south ditch.

The passenger, her husband, 40 year old Merl Haakenson was partially ejected, and later died from his injuries, while Angela Haakenson was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center with undisclosed non-life threatening injuries.

Neither person was wearing a seatbelt.
